Harry Leslie, of Leslie Family Farms, hosted the Erie Master Gardeners for a Shiitake mushroom workshop on April 27 and 30th. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce the group to oak log grown mushroom cultivation. It was very informative and the selection of mushroom spores and logs were discussed in-depth. The group was also able to participate in preparing logs to produce Shiitake mushrooms in the fall.
