The PA Certified Pollinator Friendly Garden at Two Mile House is maintained by Penn State Extension Master Gardeners as an educational demonstration garden and venue for pollinator education programs.
Two Mile House in Carlisle was constructed in 1820 for James Given and operated as a tavern from 1826 to 1857, when it became a private residence. In 1993, Mrs. Mary Wheeler King gave it to the Cumberland County Historical Society.
Today this historic site is available as a rental venue for weddings, bridal showers, meetings, and private events. The interior is decorated with antique furniture and paintings, while the exterior offers six acres of beautifully-maintained gardens and grounds.
