Berks County Clubs

Berks County 4-H Program has a variety of 4-H clubs to which youth can belong.

The Dairy & Livestock Clubs are focused on market and dairy project animals. The Horse Clubs focus on learning about horses. The Project Clubs focus on a specific project, such as cooking, sewing, rabbits, gardening, robotics, etc.

Berks County 4-H Dog Club

Meets on the 1st Sunday of the month at 4:00 pm

  • Learn about dog care and some training.

Eastern Berks 4-H Dairy Club

Meets one Friday a month at 7:00 pm

  • Learn about, raise, and exhibit dairy animals.
  • Learn about the dairy industry.
  • Participate in club activities and local fairs where you show off your animal handling skills and compete for ribbons.
  • Participate in local, regional, and state dairy shows.

Northwestern Berks 4-H Dairy Club

Meets alternating between the 4th Friday/Saturday of the month at 7:00 pm

  • Learn about, raise, and exhibit dairy animals.
  • Learn about the dairy industry.
  • Participate in club activities and local fairs where you show off your animal handling skills and compete for ribbons.
  • Participate in local, regional, and state dairy shows.

Ride for Pride 4-H Club

Meets one Sunday a month

  • Learn about horse care, riding, and breeding, with or without owning your own horse.
  • Participate in club activities and county, regional, and state horse knowledge contests.
  • Participate in local, regional, and state horse shows.

Berks Saddle-ites Cloverbud 4-H Club

Meets on a Saturday or Sunday

  • 4-H Horse Club for youth age 5-7
  • Learn about horses

Blue Ribbon Riders 4-H Club

Meets 1st Thursday of month at 6:30 pm

  • Learn about horse care, riding, and breeding, with or without owning your own horse.
  • Participate in club activities and county, regional, and state horse knowledge contests.
  • Participate in local, regional, and state horse shows.

Berks County 4-H Livestock Club

Meets 4th Monday of the month at 7:00 pm

  • Learn about and raise market and breeding livestock projects.
  • Project areas cover beef, dairy beef, goats, sheep, and hogs.
  • Participate in club activities and the local county fairs, where you can show off your animal handling skills, compete for ribbons, and exhibit and sell market animals.

Kutztown Sew N Sew’s

Meetings are after school program

  • Learn how to sew
  • Create outfits for county, regional, and state 4-H Fashion Revue contests.

4-H Marksman Club

Meets every other Wednesday at 7:00 pm

  • Learn how to safely shoot air rifle.
  • Participate in club activities and field trips.

Berks County 4-H Cloverbud Club

Meets quarterly on Saturdays from 10:00 am to Noon

  • Ages 5-7
  • Learn a variety of topics through hands-on learning

Start a new club

4-H is all about exploration! If you do not see a project or a club that looks like the right fit, you can start a new club.

4-H Clubs require:

  • At least 5 youth (from at least two families)
  • An adult club leader as a point of contact with the 4-H Educator
  • A minimum of 2 screened adult volunteers
  • Hold regular educational meetings
  • Topics could include robotics, cooking, gardening, etc.

Contact your county 4-H educator to discuss the process of developing a new club.
