Congratulations to the newest Penn State Extension Juniata Valley Master Gardeners.
From left: Karen Haas, Janet Strasburg, Libby Jones, Sue Reinke, Lauren Cuatt, and Charlotte McClintic. Missing from photo is Jami Glick.
Certificates and name badges were presented at their Master Gardener end of year get-together on December 14th. To qualify to be a Master Gardener, the group had to complete 40 hours of basic training and 50 hours of volunteer work. Volunteer hours were earned by maintaining the Demo Garden at the Mifflin County Library, raising, and donating tomatoes grown in the Lewistown Community Garden, planting bulbs and plants in the Arboretum at Penn State's new pollinator garden. Welcome, Ladies!
