Zero Waste Ambassadors

What do Zero Waste Ambassadors and football have in common?

They both bring a smile to the President's face.

Penn State President Dr. Eric Barron stands with the Zero Waste Ambassadors after the Penn State vs. Temple football game on Sept. 17, 2016.

For the fourth year in a row student volunteers are working in the President’s and Governmental Affairs suites at Beaver Stadium to divert 100% of materials from landfill.  Penn State Hospitality provides compostable food service items and the students educate fans about how to dispose of these bio-products along with recyclables.

Students from the BioRenewable Systems and Environmental Resources Management majors are regulars at the games.
