The Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, jointly administered by the College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Iowa State University, invites applications for the position of tenure-track assistant or tenured associate professor with research interests in forward-looking areas of data science and analytics in applications relevant to Iowa agriculture and/or industries, and teaching abilities relevant to core departmental courses. Exceptional candidates with commensurate experience and proven track record will be considered for the rank of associate professor. This is a 9-month position with potential for summer funding. The position is 45% research, 45% teaching, and 10% professional and institutional service.

Successful candidates will have experience in data science and analytics applied to department focus areas (manufacturing, machine systems, animal production systems, land and water resources, biological processing, or occupational safety) and demonstrated potential for teaching courses that include two or more core undergraduate topics in Agricultural Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, and/or Industrial Technology.
