Design Engineer – (Entry Level – Land Development/Stormwater Management):
McCrone is seeking a goal-oriented and talented entry level civil/water resources engineer to join our Annapolis, MD team to work on a variety of projects. Design Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers on projects located throughout Maryland that will include stormwater management, environmental site design, and sediment and erosion control plans for commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, and government sectors. You will be exposed to a wide variety of projects which will require you to apply your engineering knowledge and problem solving skills. Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a B.S. degree in Civil engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD preferred
  • Experience with hydrology software such as TR-55 and TR-20
  • EIT License preferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • All facets of civil site design including site layout, land grading, stormwater management, roadway, utilities and sediment and erosion control
  • Client and consultant interaction while working on projects

Design Engineer – (Entry Level – Water/Wastewater):
McCrone’s Public Works team in Annapolis, MD is seeking a goal-oriented and talented entry level civil engineer to work on a variety of projects in the water/wastewater sector. Projects will be located throughout Maryland and include design of water and wastewater treatment plants, design of water booster pump stations and wastewater pumping stations, design of water storage facilities, design of on-site wastewater disposal systems, construction management, preparing water and wastewater feasibility reports, and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing studies, designing, preparing drawings and specifications, and reviewing construction of water and wastewater infrastructure for projects throughout Maryland and surrounding states
  • Interaction with Clients, Manufacturers, Regulatory Agencies and other consultants while working on projects
  • Assisting with permit processing and submittals with local and state agencies

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Must have a B.S. degree in Civil engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD software
  • EIT License preferred, but not mandatory
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work both individually and as part of a team

Engineering Intern – (Summer 2018):
McCrone’s Annapolis, MD team is seeking an engineering intern to work closely with Project Managers and Project Engineers to assist with a variety of projects throughout Maryland and include stormwater management, environmental site design, and sediment and erosion control plans. Tasks may include writing and compiling stormwater reports, stormwater management calculations, putting together sediment and erosion control plans, and assisting with agency submittals. Site visits will also take place throughout the internship to observe projects in all stages of completion in order to gain a better understanding of  what consulting firms are all about.

  • Must be pursuing a B.S. degree in Civil engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Experience with hydrology software such as TR-55 and TR-20
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
