Civil Engineer/Project Manager:

Regionally acknowledged for our client service to the land development community, we seek a progressive leader to guide our technical staff.

Working in concert with our management team, we are looking not only for someone in production, but also business development, mentoring, client service to join our Annapolis, MD team and work collaboratively with all our offices. Responsibilities:

  • All facets of civil site design including site layout, land grading, stormwater management, roadway, utilities and sediment and erosion control
  • Client and consultant interaction while working on projects
  • Coordinating permit processing and submittals with local and state agencies

Desired Education & Skills:

  • Licensed professional engineer in Maryland
  • 7+ years of increasingly responsible project management experience in civil engineering that includes design of residential and commercial land development, institutional and municipal/county government projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project needs and deliver client solutions.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD® Civil 3D®
  • Engaging verbal/written communication skills and ability to comfortably interact with people from all kinds of backgrounds
  • Business development experience with ability to establish/nurture connections with influencers representing our target markets

Civil Designer
McCrone is looking for a highly motivated, task-oriented, civil designer to join our team in Annapolis, MD. We need a creative problem-solver who can manage and complete critical design tasks for multiple residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This is the perfect career opportunity for an individual with a strong desire to build and enhance their professional skills and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Site layout, grading, storm drainage, roads, utility infrastructure and erosion and sediment control design
  • Prepare CAD drawings, layouts and plans as directed that conform to local codes and standards.
  • Prepare project plan and detail sheets
  • Prepare as-built plan sets as well as plats and easement exhibits
  • Assist with permitting and preparation of bid documents and specifications

Education and Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Engineering Technology is preferred and at least 5+ years of civil design experience is required
  • Must demonstrate broad-based knowledge of standard methods in civil design
  • Must be able to check plan design for accuracy after initial drafting plans are completed and note any discrepancies and necessary changes
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D®
  • Must have the ability to complete design tasks as assigned by a project manager or project engineer in a timely manner
  • Must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with team members
