Assistant Professor - North Carolina A & T State University
Primary responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in biological and ecological engineering. The candidate is expected to remain engaged in research and other scholarly activities, publishing, grantsmanship, course development, and all other activities required for tenure. Other duties include,but are not limited to, working collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines; advising and mentoring students; assisting in undergraduate research and recruiting; curriculum development; engaging in accreditation of biological engineering programs;rendering service to the Department of Natural Resources, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, College of Engineering, the University, and the Community at-large; and participating as an active member of discipline-related professional organizations. The candidate is expected to stay knowledgeable of advances in design practice, theory and technology in the area of biological, agricultural, and/or environmental engineering or related fields. This is a 9-month tenure track position Assistant Professor in Biological Engineering.
Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in Biological Engineering or closely related field. The position requires an earned doctorate at the time of the anticipated appointment date.
